The beauty of birth photography is that you get to relive one of the most amazing moments of your life & even share your childs birth story with them when they are older. It also helps you to piece together those blury fragments & tiny details you didnt register in the moment.
It can also be utilised as an amazing visual therapeutic healing and empowering tool during post partum. Looking back through your beautiful birth photo’s will get your Oxytocin flowing and aid in supporting you in your transition to motherhood and bonding with your baby.

Birth photography is in no way all about the crowning shot, some clients dont want those images at all. I am able to get creative with angles, crops & post editing to protect your modesty. Birth photography is all about emotion. Its about capturing your strength, your focus, your peace, your power, how your partner gazes at you with adoration & admiration, the look on your faces when you meet your baby & all those fresh newborn moments.
We begin with a no obligation informal meeting in person before confirming a booking.
This gives families the opportunity to explore the idea, ask any questions they may have & make clear any requirements they may have. It also gives us both an opportunity to get a feel for each other & see if we are the right fit.
With the way i work its important to establish a connection, a friendship of some sort in advance of the birth. I want my families to feel comfortable with me & therefore comfortable with having me in their birth space. Getting to know you is important to me, because your comfort is important to me & ultimately i will care about the outcome of your birth. Im drawn to this work because i have an inherent belief & trust in birth & our ability as women to birth our babies. I will be an active part of your birth team & included with my photography services will be emotional & practical support to you both where needed.

A bonus 1hr Pregnancy Photoshoot around 34-36 weeks - in the comfort of your home or at a location of your choice - Personal online downloadable gallery of 25-30 High resolution edited images
2nd In person Consultation to discuss your birth plans, what images are important to you, any personal requirements and how I can work with the rest of your birthing team to support you.
From 38 weeks until your baby is born i will be on call for you 24hrs 7 days a week ready to join you at your place of birth when you go into labour. As a birth proffessional i understand the importance of being able to read energy and blend seamlessly into the birth space, i will quietly and respectfully work around the birth space, leaving your partner fully free to support you, allowing you to fully focus on your birth and giving your midwives’ space to work. I will always endeavour to be a calming presence and provide practical & emotional support wherever necessary.
Full documentary photography coverage of your birth from active labour (usually 3-5cm dialation) until 2hrs after birth.
Full online downloadable gallery - password protected - High resolution edited images - Labour, Birth & 2hrs Pospartum - Usually 100+ Photos - within 3-4 weeks after birth (This gives you time to process your birth experience and focus on getting to know your baby)
Print release for personal use included
Optional Extra - Prints or Photo Albums can also be purchased at an additional cost

In order to give my families the highest level of commitment and care i will only take a maximum of 2 birth story commissions per due date month.
You are welcome to pay the full package amount up front or arrange a payment plan. The final balance must be paid in full by the 37th week of your pregnancy.

Fresh 48 photography is a special session for those new families who want the first few hours of their tiny newborn’s life captured without having the entire labor or birth documented
Relaxed, natural, unposed documentary session - In home, Birth Centre or Hospital
Personal online downloadable gallery of 40-60 High resolution edited images
You are welcome to pay the full package amount up front or arrange a payment plan. The final balance must be paid in full by the 37th Week of your pregnancy
